Amazing Awesomeness

Something Amazingly Awesome is Going to Happen to Me Today!

About a month ago, I started proclaiming this to myself every morning. No matter how I feel. No matter what's going on in my life. Every morning I take out my journal and at the top of the page write the sentence, "Something Amazingly Awesome is Going to Happen to Me Today." I got the inspiration from the book Thank and Grow Rich by Pam Grout. She's the author of the books E Squared and E Cubed, and if you've never read her stuff, I highly recommend it. It'll change your life.

Also, about a month ago, in the midst of following my self-created How I Transformed My Life In 31 Days program, the thought "I want to be like Jesus" popped into my head. I'd had a break with organized religion years ago, so for me this seemed like a weird compulsion. I wasn't talking about religion though, I was talking about the level of consciousness that performs miracles and moves mountains. Not two days after that thought, I got an email about a meetup group called, How To Become A Christ. No shit. Turns out, if you want to be like Jesus, there's a class you can take that meets weekly. I've been going ever since and it has changed my life in a remarkably short time.

I wanted to share this story because it's such an undeniable illustration of the power of our thoughts. I thought something, I had no strong feeling or thought of it not being possible, and the universe delivered to me the fulfillment of my desire quickly and easily. This is called the Law of Attraction. This is how we are all creating our realities here. We create our lives with the thoughts we think regularly. Don't believe me? Try it. Pay attention for just one day, or even one hour, to the thoughts that go through your head. Be objective. Notice the dominant thoughts and see how they correlate to what's happening in your life. It'll blow your mind.

Last week I wrote a blog about how the transformation I was intending didn't work. Today, that sentiment is hysterical to me. Are you kidding?? SO much has changed in a month! I just wasn't focused on it at the time. I was focused on what wasn't working, and that's all I could see. Ok, so brief moments of doubt and frustration do happen. But they are brief these days. By the end of writing that blog I'd already changed my tune. I make a conscious effort to spend way more time focused on the amazingly awesome, and I'm seeing synchronicities and things lining up for me that seem like magic. It's real.

Yesterday I felt compelled to post on Facebook the affirmation I've been telling myself daily. Something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today. All day I looked for the amazingly awesome, and I came up with a few things. In fact, I came up with so much amazing awesomeness that I had to narrow it down to just 5 things for brevity:

1.) Rocking out with my guitar after having written three new songs in less that two weeks. Not long ago, I could barely play. Hello Lifelong Dream realized.

2.) Going to a meetup group and talking about fascinating stuff like raising our consciousness and tapping into oneness and our unlimited potential. And being gifted a wonderful book by a very kind and generous person.

3.) Going to hear a bunch of super talented friends play music, laughing, talking, applauding and cheering. So fun.

4.) Huge epiphany moment realizing that the key to my happiness is being totally cool with who I am and everything I do. (letting go of B.S. self-judgment)

5.) Seeing so clearly that what I focus upon gets bigger. I had absolutely no problem coming up with Amazing Awesomeness today.

I'll leave you with one more thought to ponder. You might think that FB post was about me, but really it was about you. For a moment, everyone who saw that post held the thought "Something Amazingly Awesome is Going to Happen to Me Today," in their awareness. Maybe it was the only positive thought all day. That's fine. Big, amazingly awesome changes start with just one new thought.
